Version 1.8 Software Update

New features of the Version 1.8 Message Manager Software for the Cable Envoy™ Addressable Messaging System include Icon support, External Relay Activation support, and expanded Channel Map to accommodate up to 160 channels per system.

Revision & Fixes

Software updates have been included to improve functionality and/or operation of the EAS Setup, Message Scheduler, Edit/Create Text.

The Edit/Create Text menu has facilities for Icon selection and External Relay activation.

Display Icon - Enables Icons display with message (if Icon generators are installed in channel units).

Enable Relay - Checking the Enable Relay box will activate the external relay when message is displayed.

Call System - Revised to simplify dial-up connection and aborting call.

Channel Assignment - Expanded to accommodate up to 160 channels.

On-line Functions, including Upload Stored Messages, Upload Schedules and Message Activation - revised to accommodate longer messages and improved operation.

Channel Status - When selected this function updates the Channel Map and Status report to reflect current conditions. Previous users may notice a slight delay in the display of this enhanced reporting function.

Cable Envoy™ Firmware Updates

Implementation of some features will require firmware updates in either the Communications Multiplexer Unit and/or the Server Unit. As of this release the latest Communications Multiplexer firmware version was MUX V3.61 (required for Icon Support), and Server firmware version was SRV V3.10 (for increased channel capacity).
