Creating A Directory Before Download
               If you are planning to run the files off of your hard drive and not a floppy disk then follow these steps:

  1. Click on "Start" on the Menu Bar.  Then "Programs".  Then "Windows Explorer".  You should now be in a program that displays your drives, directories, and files on your computer.
  2. Click once on your C drive in the left menu on the screen.  Your C drive should now be highlighted.
  3. Now that your C drive is highlighted go up to "File" on the top menu of the window.  Click on "File" and now there should be a number of choices.
  4. Click on "New".  Then "Folder".  This creates a new folder on the C drive.
  5. You should now see a new folder at the bottom of the right window named New Folder.   The name should be highlighted and there should be a blinking cursor in the highlighted box.  Delete the name of the folder (New Folder) and type in "hu961" , without the quotes.  If the name of the folder is not highlighted and there isn't a cursor in for you to type in the name then you will click once on the folder to highlight it.  Then click once on the name to put the cursor in the name so you can change it.  Then type in hu961.

Download

  1. Click on the version you will be downloading from the download page.
  2. When the prompt appears you will be given the option of opening the file or saving it to a disk.  Choose Save to a Disk.
  3. You will then have the option of where you want to place the file.  You may choose the A drive (3.5" floppy) or to download to your hard drive.  Note:  If you would like to run the program off of a floppy disk then choose your A drive.  When downloading to your hard drive the recommended place would be the "Desktop".
  4. After the choice is made it will now begin downloading. 

Installation

  1. Once downloaded now you need to extract the files.  This is done by double clicking on the "hu961" file (which is the name of the file which you just downloaded) in the directory where you chose to save it or the file icon on the Desktop.
  2. After double-clicking on the file you will be prompted on where you want to unzip to:  You can choose to unzip it to a folder "hu961" which you just created in your hard drive or the A drive.  If you want to run the program off of a disk then replace "C:\hu961" with "A:\" and then hit the "Unzip" button.  

Use

  1. To run the program go to "Start".  Then to "Run".  It will say Open: and then something highlighted.  Delete what is highlighted and type in "c:\hu961\hu96" without quotes and then hit enter if you unzipped to your hard drive.  If you are using a floppy then type "a:\hu96" where "a" is the drive letter of your floppy drive.
  2. The "HU-961 EASy Management Software" window screen appears and the user is ready to setup the HU-961.

Creating A Directory Before Download

  1. Double click the Main icon on the screen of the Program Manager.  Then double click on the File Manager icon.  You should now be File Manager which displays your drives, directories, and files on your computer.
  2. Click once on your C drive in the left menu on the screen.  Your C drive should now be highlighted.
  3. Now that your C drive is highlighted go up to "File" on the top menu of the window.  Click on "File" and now there should be a number of choices.
  4. Click on "Create Directory".  A new window will appear which will ask what you want the name of the directory to be. Type in "hu961" without quotes.   Before you hit enter make sure that the line which starts with Current Directory reads "Current Directory: C:\" if it does then hit enter but if there is anything after C:\ then you are not in the right directory and you must choose cancel and then click on the C:\ folder.  Then repeat this step again.  This creates a new folder on the C drive.
  5. You should now see a new folder in the left menu under the C drive named hu961.

Download

  1. Click on the version you will be downloading from the download page.

To run the program go to "File" in Program Manager.  Then to "Run".  Type in "c:\hu961\hu96" without quotes and then hit enter if you unzipped to your hard drive.  If you are using a floppy then type "a:\hu96" where "a" is the drive letter of your floppy drive.   Note:  You may also run the program directory in MS-DOS by exiting windows and then typing in "cd hu961" and then at "c:\hu961\"  type in hu96 if unzipped them to your C drive.  If it is on your A drive then type "a:" at "c:\" and then "hu96".
  2. The "HU-961 EASy Management Software" window screen appears and you are ready to setup the HU-961.
