- Monochrome monitors (black and white) cannot
be used.
- When programming the HU-961, connect the computer to Com Port 2 on
the HU-961.
In the programming menu, when it asks which Com Port you are using, it is referring to
the computers Com Port, not the Com Port on the HU-961.
- If there is a modem in the same Com Port of your computer that you
are using to program
the HU-961, you need to use a different port.
Reason: The modem on the HU-961 and the one in your computer will not
talk back
and forth to each other.
- If the mouse port on your computer is an RS232 9 pin port, this
port can be used
to program the HU-961.
- The manual suggests that you install the software on to your
computers hard drive.
You can do this if you choose to but it is not necessary. You may use the 3½"
floppy disk with the command HU96 at the "A" drive. Any programming that
you do in the "A" drive, you will retain on the floppy disk so you can refer
back
to it to see how you programmed your HU-961.
