Addendum for MIP-921s&e Manuals

There have been questions on how the MIP-921s&e encoder/decoders report the time and date when the user Downloads Stored Messages.   The device reports the date as a Julian Date.  The Julian date is the number of days that have elapsed since January first of the current year. No year information is printed.  For example - June 15 is the 166th day of the year except for leap year when it would be the 167th day of the year.  Use the Peretual Calendar for non-leap years and the Leap Year calendar for leap years (e.g. 2004, 2008)   The MIP-921s&e report the time in military format.  If a message was received at 1:15 PM it will display 13:15 local

The  MIP-921s uses the above format when you download messages to either a computer or a serial printer.  The MIP-921e only uses the above format when stored messages are printed to the on-board printer.  Messages logged in real time with the on-board printer, or downloaded remotely from the MIP-921e use mm/dd/yy format to log the date.  The time is in military format.
