Continuing to add value to the cable MSO products/services industry segment, HollyAnne Corporation today announced a manufacturing agreement for the new SAM™ (Safety Alert Monitor) unit with the accessories division of Thomson Consumer Electronics Inc., manufacturer and marketer of RCA products. 

The SAM by RCA receiver is an indoor emergency warning unit designed for use within cable television systems.  The receiver operates independently of the cable subscriber's TV set.  In fact, as a significant advantage over current alert notification services, the receiver operates even when no television is present. 

The SAM by RCA receiver has a red LED light that is illuminated, usually for tornado or severe storm watches.  The receiver has two modes for warnings, both include an audio attention signal followed by voice information.   The first is "all call" for severe weather and other area-wide emergency situations.  The second mode is used for area alerts. 

The SAM system provides a needed service designed for cable television subscribers.
